There's nothing better than a company that has a sense of humor about its product.  First, the ad wizards at Pepto Bismol brought us the genius 15-second spot that features breakdancers popping and locking to the tune of "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea." 

Recently, Pepto returned to the marketing scene with a brilliant send-up of Godzilla movies. This ad makes me want to gorge on rotten Chinese food just to have an excuse to reach for the pink bottle.

Baton Rouge General first to have treatment technology

Baton Rouge General Medical Center says it's the first and only hospital in Louisiana to have a new technology that allows outpatient treatment for Barrett's esophagus, a precancer of the esophagus caused by chronic heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease. The technology that makes this possible is HALO360 from California-based BARRX Medical, a medical device company. BARRX has designated Baton Rouge General, which will teach other hospitals how to conduct the procedure, as a "Center of Excellence." Treatment options have been limited for Barrett's, which can lead to a dangerous type of cancer called esophageal adenocarcinoma, currently the most rapidly rising cancer in the United States affecting more than 3 million adults.

Arthritis For relief from inflammation of the joints, swelling, and stiffness. Drink a decoction made from 2 teaspoons fresh ginger root. As an infusion use oregano, rosemary, and basil.

Bad BreathFor a mouthwash use a tincture or an infusion made with rosemary, sage, mint, lemon verbena, hyssop, anise seeds, or cilantro. Chew on fresh parsley or fennel seeds.

Bruises Muscle Strains and SprainsApply a poultice of arnica or comfrey directly on the bruise. Use a compress of parsley or St. Johns wort for sprains. Rub a St Johns ointment into the bruised area.
